Whatever your interests, Wirral has it all – from Open Golf Championship courses of Royal Liverpool, & Wallasey, the ‘Home of Stableford’, to amazing Birdwatching in the Dee Estuary.

We are just a short walk from West Kirby Marine Lake for sailing, windsurfing & kite surfing or for the less energetic, beautiful coastal walks along the Wirral way, or across the beach to Hilbre Island for a spot of birdwatching, followed by a delicious Afternoon Tea at one of West Kirby’s many cafes. The Wirral also has a wealth of cultural activities from Lady Lever Art Gallery to taking a ferry across the Mersey to the many Liverpool attractions and is the perfect touring base for Chester and beyond.

Boasting 17 golf courses, Wirral is a golfers paradise & as part of Englands Golf Coast, is the perfect location for a ‘Golfing Break’, from scenic coast & parkland courses, to the most challenging Championship courses of Hoylake, & Wallasey.

Things to do

If your interests are football or horseracing, Wirral is also convenient for Chester & Grand National Race meetings, together with Liverpool, Everton & Tranmere Rovers Football Clubs, just a short distance away.

The Wilson Trophy, an annual sailing event in May, hosted by West Kirby Sailing Club, attracts international teams, & the World Sand & Kite yachting championships were recently held in Hoylake.

The Dee Estuary & bird sanctuary of Hilbre Island, are home to thousands of wading & estuary birds & the autumn migration & spring high tides provide stunning opportunities to witness and photograph numerous feeding birds or the spectacle of the harriers seadance.

If photography is your passion, then be amazed by incredible & unsurpassable sunsets, & the natural beauty of both coast and countryside, historic villages, flora & fauna.

Annual events, monthly farmers markets, a Michelin star restaurant, Ness Botanic Gardens, & much more, makes Wirral the ideal ‘play & stay’ location. We look forward to welcoming you to our award winning accommodation at 42 Caldy Road, soon.
